Celebrating 20 Years with LCP
What first brought you to LCP?
I must admit, it was partly down to good luck! My friend spotted an advert for a LCP presentation at our university and insisted I came with him. That evening, there was a howling storm and I recall us arriving at the venue soaked to the bone, having walked for nearly an hour through wind and rain. We were greeted by a set of friendly and enthusiastic LCPers (led by Jeremy Dell), whose presentation convinced me to apply for a summer internship! I am eternally grateful to my housemate, without whom my last 20 years may not have been as enjoyable!
What makes LCP so enjoyable 20 years later?
It’s down to a couple of things. Firstly, and perhaps a cliché, but the people and culture. With the firm nearly three times the size from when I first joined, it’s great that we’ve managed to maintain the friendly, “always willing to help each other” attitude amongst our people.
Secondly, LCP being a firm that is dynamic and constantly evolving – this has meant that my role has changed throughout and always felt fresh, despite being here for 20 years. I count myself lucky to be at a firm that is at the forefront of every area we are involved in and which has allowed me to get involved in a wide variety of challenging and interesting work.
Are there any memorable milestones or changes?
The office move to 95 Wigmore Street was a memorable change, having been at the previous Mayfair office for almost a decade by this point. I remember thinking at the time that the relocation made it feel like I had moved to a new job!
Are there specific values or qualities that you think define LCP?
I think LCP’s genuineness in our approach is one of our key qualities. An example of this is our DEI Networks. It’s been great to see these grow and become embedded within LCP, making a real impact across the business.
What are your hopes for LCP’s future?
I am sure that LCP will continue to be successful. Most importantly, I hope that LCP can be impactful in terms of its influence on the community and the wider world, particularly given the environmental challenges that will be faced. I think the work LCP is doing now eg through LCP Delta on the energy transition and through Responsible Investment should put us in good stead to do that.
Celebrating 10 Years with LCP
What first brought you to LCP, and what makes LCP so enjoyable 10 years later?
When I came for my interview, I found everyone very friendly and approachable. This has continued throughout my time at LCP. The people and support I have received is a big reason why I’ve stayed at LCP for 10 years. Starting as a trainee and now being a team leader is a big change and the progression keeps my role different and keeps my day-to-day interesting.
How has the business evolved since you started? Are there any memorable milestones or changes?
When I started as a trainee in the pensions administration department, we had stacks of physical paper member files. The change to paperless was a big move and all the new systems and processes make everything a lot smoother day to day.
What do you think makes LCP unique?
LCP still has a small company feel even with the growth since I joined and you feel valued as an individual rather than just a number.
Are there specific values or qualities that you think define LCP?
Providing a good service to members and clients, we all work really hard to ensure that the quality of our work is of a high standard.
Working as a team is an important part of our day-to-day also. We all support each other however we can.
What are some hopes you have for LCP’s future?
It will be great to see LCP continue to grow whilst keeping the small company feeling and supportive community.

Bereavement Support Coffee Dates
Rebecca McGregor is looking to organise regular 'Bereavement Support Coffee Dates'. This would serve as a safe place for individuals and a supportive environment for open conversation. It’s also an opportunity to share experiences and support resources that others may find helpful in difficult times. If you would like to register your interest, please complete this form.
Xtra, Xtra!
Well done to all our first year grads who recently completed their LCP Xtra projects, culminating with presentations in both London and Winchester and a social after.
