We develop, maintain and support a range of models for LCP’s core pensions and investment business areas and pride ourselves on being both developers and subject matter experts. We are expert users of our tools as well as expert builders, often playing a project management role along the way due to our unique position in understanding the development, pensions and investment worlds. This combination of skills allows us to build effective, intuitive and powerful technology for both internal users and our clients.

Pensions & Investment Technology

Developer - primarily in C#, with exposure to additional languages and tools depending on team focus and experience level. E.g. - Azure DevOps / infrastructure - SQL for data management - Web-based front-end technologies such as Vue, Javascript and Typescript

Subject matter expert in relevant area of the core business. E.g.

- Defined Benefit member calculations and / or data

- Asset Liability Modelling

- Investment performance monitoring

- Pensions administration working practices and processes

- Investment and market data and LCP assumptions

Design and specification: Ability to work with the business to agree the design and calculation details of new features / developments

Project management of the delivery of new features

Expert user and support e.g. considered an expert user of Pulse, CALM or Visualise and able to help others achieve what they need using our technology

Testing - ability to build and implement an appropriate suite of test cases, including awareness of the different types of tests that can be carried out and the overall risk profile of the testing coverage

Risk management - awareness of and ability to manage the various risks to LCP that emerge through our P&I Tech

Knowledge of LCP’s whole suite of P&I technology. Being able to think beyond the confines of one specific tool, to think about the part each tool plays in that whole and knowledge of how everything fits together
