Clarendon Way Walk 2024
LCP supported Naomi House and Jacksplace with their flagship event, the Clarendon Way Walk, by hosting a pitstop for walkers.

Trinity’s Big Sleep Out
Trinity support homeless and vulnerable people across Winchester. 5 LCP'ers slept under the stars to support Trinity's, annual ‘Big Sleep Out’.

Partner Charity Coffee Morning
The Communities Group held a Coffee morning in London, Winchester, Cambridge and Edinburgh in aid of our three new partner charities.
Volunteering
In-person volunteering is a great opportunity to get involved and give back to your local community. You can take 7 hours of paid volunteering each year.
LCP actively encourages LCPers to use their volunteering hours, so if you have any questions or ideas for volunteering, please feel free to reach out to a member of the group.
Over the quarter, we had many LCPers use some of their volunteering hours by helping out with a number of activities for two of LCP’s partner charities, Trinity and Naomi House.
Some LCPers volunteered to help cook delicious meals for Trinity’s clientele and others took part in gardening and maintaining the outdoor space at Naomi House & Jacksplace.

Gardening at Naomi House & Jacksplace
7 LCPers from Winchester volunteered at Naomi House & Jacksplace. They helped spruce up the garden space by weeding, planting, clearing leaves, pruning, cleaning garden furniture and painting.

Cooking up a storm at Trinity
Alongside some of the team members a Trinity, LCPers got stuck in with the veg prep, helping to provide some delicious meals for the residents at Trinity!

How to get involved
You can sign up to volunteering opportunities advertised through LCP, or something of your own choosing – just speak to one of the Communities Group in advance to check the opportunity before you take the day (and get approval from your line manager).
LCP Foundation
We launched the Foundation to help support our local communities. The remit of the LCP Foundation is to:
- Promote LCP as a force for social good
- Decide who receives donations
- Support each office’s community group
- Report on how money is spent internally and externally
- Distribute £250,000 of LCP profits
Over the last quarter, the LCP Foundation has supported many individuals with their fundraising initiatives, from triathlons to bake sales, and enhancing LCP's community impact. Many LCP Foundation committee members also slept out to raise money and awareness of homelessness at Trinity's Big Sleep Out! (More can be found in the Communities Group update on this page).
We also celebrated Holly McArthur and Fran Bailey, who completed a triathlon during their maternity leave (highlights on page 9). Holly and Fran supported Tommy's, a charity researching the causes and prevention of baby loss. We awarded them an additional £500 to donate through our FAME awards.

Donation to Charities
We're incredibly proud to have allocated £60,000 to four deserving charities - Glass Door, Friends of the Family, Drive Forward Foundation and Murray Parish Trust. Many thanks to everyone who voted to help guide our decision making.

Golden Buzzer Donation
We have also used one of our Golden Buzzers to contribute an additional £500 to the Alzheimer's Society. Each committee member gets two Golden Buzzers that allow them to direct a Foundation donation to a charity they are passionate about.
