Supporting diversity is the right thing to do, and it's also the smart thing to do.
Nurturing a people-first, diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace creates an environment where everyone can thrive, supports innovation and results in more effective decision making. It ultimately helps us to provide our clients with the best possible service. This is why Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is a central theme and is at the core of our People Principles, driving how we work with our people and making sure we recruit and retain the best talent. We are proud of how far we've come on our DEI journey, but also recognise that we are not done yet, and continue to learn and improve further. Our DEI Steering Group is supported by our four thriving, people-led networks who work together to lead a whole range of initatives and events - view our timeline above to see some of the key ones. The greatest measure of our success in this space is what we're told by our people. We're proud that our people feel that LCP is a warm, welcoming and supportive environment to work in. Watch our video to find out how LCP strives to build an inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and see below for more information on our journey.

2022 and beyond
Our core areas of focus for the next year include intersectionality and allyship, providing additional training, working closely with our recruitment team, and improving and expanding the diversity metrics we monitor across all diversity characteristics. This includes reflecting on and revising our expectations of what success and improvement look like. We carried out our second internal DEI survey, along with focus groups, in 2022 which will inform our areas of focus moving forward. Our ongoing objectives include raising the profile of diversity, equity and inclusion within LCP and across the industry, supporting and developing our Partner Champion campaign, increasing confidence engaging with issues in this space and challenging inappropriate and biased behaviour, and promoting improved representation and diversity at senior levels and across working groups.
